I Am Grateful

So lately I have found myself thinking about all the things that I am grateful for, more than I usually do. So I wanted to share them with you.I am so blessed to have a wonderful family. My parents are more than I could ever ask for. They have always been there for me, supporting me in everything that I do. They raised me with the greatest love there is and taught me to love everyone.I am grateful for my brother. He has been an example to me for so long, weather he knows it or not. I know that if I ever need anything that he will do whatever he can to help me.I am so thankful to have a big brother who has been able to be an example for me and help me when I need it. I am thankful for my sisters. Darcee has always been someone that I can talk to, and sometimes that is all that I have needed. TaMerra has been the same way. She has been there for me when I have needed someone to talk to. I have always wanted to be like her. She is smart, kind, strong in the church, and a loving mother and wife. I only hope that when the time comes for me to take on the role as a mother that I can learn a few things from her. I am very thankful that my brother chose a wonderful woman to marry. I could not ask for a better sister in law. She is always fun to talk to. She has been so nice to me. I would not have had my dream wedding without her and I will always be thankful for that. She to is a great mother and wife and I hope that I will be able to learn from her when the time comes. She is so easy to love and talk to. I am grateful for all my nieces and nephews. They are a crazy fun bunch and I would not have it any other way. The love of a child is one of the greatest things in the world and I am lucky enough to be able to share that with 7 (soon to be 8) wonderful kids. Each of them is one of Gods miracles. I am also grateful for my grandparents and inlaws. All of whom have helped make me a better person. I love them. But what I am most grateful for is my loving husband. We have only been married a short time, but I could not ask for anything more. He is my life. He is such a strong man and always encourages me to be myself and do what makes me happy. He is the most understanding and accepting person I know. I am so blessed that he chose me to spend the rest of eternity with. I love him with all my heart. I also want to say that I am grateful for all of my extended family, and that I am able to be so close to them. A lot of people are not very close with their families. I am lucky to be able to have that. And I am grateful that I get to be with them all forever, and that I get to see the ones that have past on again.
There are a lot of small things that I am grateful for, but since this is long enough and most of you have stopped reading already, I will only name a few. I am grateful for my sight, my smell, my ability to walk and talk. There are so many that live without these things. I feel so blessed that I have them. I am grateful for the changes in weather and that we get to experience so much. I love walking outside and looking up at the sky. I am grateful for my job. I work with a lot of great people and I am so happy that I get to me a part of this work family. I am grateful for the apartment that we live in and that we are able to have a roof over our heads and food to eat. We are so blessed. More than we realize. I am so thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Without it, I would not be where I am today. I know that the church and the gospel bring me happiness and blessings beyond my comprehension. I love all of my friends and I will always treasure you. I am blessed to have known and befriended so many wonderful people. I love you all.I encourage all of you who read this to post the things that you are grateful for and let others know of the blessings you have.

Home Owners

Its official. We got our condo. We signed all the papers on Friday, which was not as bad as I thought it would be. The loan is going to fund tomorrow since today is a holiday. But we are all set. Now we can't move in til the beginning of July but that is ok. The tenants will basically be paying our mortgage for us. I am ok with that. Lol. So only about 4 1/2 more months and we can move in. That is the new exciting event that has happened in our life.
Jonah has really been enjoying his job. He has been getting a lot of overtime with it as well which is god for us. My work has been really slow. Hopefully we will be able to pick up soon.
Last night I started having some serious back pain. It came out of the blue. I dont know what is wrong, but I am ready for it to be over with.

Catch Up

So Jonah and I are still trying to buy our condo. Our lender called us and said that we might be able to close on it a week early. That would be great if that was the case. We are really wanting to get this over with. Lol.
So the other day night, Jonah and I brought in a bag of chocolate from my car that my mom had given us. We set it on the coffee table in our front room and didn't think anything of it. The next day I came home for lunch and saw the empty chocolate bag on the kitchen floor. I called Jonah and asked him if he had taken all the chocolate to work with him. He said no. So the only other option is....Reign. Our dog ate a 10 oz. bag of chocolate....aluminum and all!!! We were pretty upset, and worried at the same time. He seems to be doing ok. We think that he had a stomach ache for a while cause he would not stop whining, but I think that he is doing better now. Maybe he will learn his lesson this time.
So Sunday I had to play the piano in Primary. Everything was all over the place if you know what I mean. No one really knew what they were doing, and apparently they have two choristers and two piano players. The lady that was the chorister was not the lady I had been talking to about songs. SO!!!!! I had to play a whole bunch of songs that I didn't know and hadn't practiced. Yay for the right hand! Lol. Luckily there are only three kids in our Primary... Its not like they sing anyway....The only one that was singing was the chorister. Lol.So we will see how it goes next week.
Last night we had the privilege of having Jared and Olivia come hang out at our place. We made dinner for them and they brought some games to play. We had a blast playing Clue and Apples to Apples. I have not laughed that hard in a while. We are really blessed to have such great friends.
Jonah starts his first official day of work today. He will be out installing on his own. He is no longer in training! He is really nervous but he is excited with all the stuff that he has learned. He is very proud of his job.
So I think that that is all we have been up to lately. Sorry we are not very exciting. Lol

December in a recap.

So We have been Pretty busy this month with Christmas and birthdays and what not. Sorry that it has taken me so long to post these pictures but at least I got it done. The week before Christmas we went to St George for a Christmas Party and we got to make ginger bread houses. So I have a few pictures from our Christmas party. This was my first Christmas away from my family, but it was my first one with my husband. So it was a good one. He was nice enough to wake me up at 5:56 AM to wish me a happy birthday. ( 5:56 AM is when I was born. ) He gave me a bear that he got from build a bear. It was in a Broncos outfit!!! Man does my hubby know what I like. I was so excited. So since we were up already we went and opened our presents. We had a pretty good Christmas morning. We went to a movie for my birthday as well and then we came home and I got to open up my birthday presents. So all in all it was a pretty good Christmas. The day after Christmas my parents came up for a visit. They were coming up so that my dad could inspect our condo. So it was nice to be able to see them after Christmas. Enjoy the pictures!! I hope that everyone had a great Christmas! OH!!! Also....My best friend Amanda had a little baby girl on New Years Eve. She is the cutest little girl. When I get some pictures I will see if I can post them. But I am so happy for her.

She should be getting released from the hospital today. So I just wanted to share our joy with you. I am an aunt again and Jonah is an uncle. We are very excited to meet him. Next we are waiting for another little boy from my sister....But that is not for a few more months.

Temple Square!

So we went to Temple Square with Jared and Olivia and had a lot of fun. It took us forever to find a spot to park but we had a lot of fun. This is us sitting in front of the reflection pool.

This is my cute cold hubby!

And me getting ready to go!

Light at the End of the Tunnel

So we found out today that the offer that we put in was accepted for the condo! We are so excited! Now we just have to do all the horrible paper work and stuff. I am not looking forward to that but you gotta do what ya gotta do. I am so excited that we are able to take this step in our lives! Other than that nothing to exciting has been going on. I will keep you posted on the condo status!!! YAY FOR US!!!!! :)

Pray For Good Luck

So we found something that we like! Just pray that everything goes well and it works out. But if everything goes according to plan we will close on this no later than January 1st. What we are trying to get is a condo in Springville. It is 1350 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, and a top unit. It has has vaulted ceilings, a balcony with a storage shed, the kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and tile floors. It is a very nice condo and we fell in love with it the second we walked in. So pray that everything works out for us!!!

Hunting?

So Jonah and I, believe it or not, have been going house hunting. Yup house hunting. We want to get into something of our own and take advantage of the great market for buyers. Well yesterday we went to look at a house and we both fell in love with it! It is a newer home and it was gorgeous. It had a nice big corner lot and a nice looking yard. Anyways, The only problem with this house??? Its in Eagle Mountain. Now if I was not working and I could stay home all day and not have to worry about the drive to work and having to be there on time, I am sure that we would go through with it. But we prayed and thought about it and felt that we are not supposed to get that house. Now with it being that nice of a house you may be wondering how we could afford it. Two words for you.....Short Sale. The price for that home w as literally cut in half. So that is how we would have been able to get into something like that. But we are going to keep looking and hopefully we will be able to find something that we both like. We will keep you updated.

Thanksgiving Trip

So Jonah and I had a really good Thanksgiving I think. We had quite the crowd at my parents house. We had all my siblings, their spouses and kids, my grandparents and my aunt and uncle and cousins. But I wouldn't want to have it any other way. Thanksgiving is about being thankful and I am so grateful for the wonderful immediate and extended family that I have. Not a whole lot of people can say that they like their extended family. But I do. All my cousins, aunts, uncles you name it. I am blessed to be part of a family that is so close and nice to each other.I love it. So anyways. Jonah and I drove down to St George on Wednesday night. Poor Jonah had to drive back to Orem on Thursday night after we had dinner. He had to go to training the next day. But he came back down on Friday. Poor guy, he spent most of the time driving. But he was not complaining. He did what he had to do. I am so grateful that he did that. We also got to bring Reign down with us this time. He stayed at my sisters place. They LOVED him. My sister and Jason were amazed at how good a dog he really is. And the kids loved him. Jeremiah was so cute with him. He would chase him around and pet him. He would lay on him with his bottle in his mouth and if Reign would move, Jeremiah would get up and go lay on him again. It was so cute. Alijah was a little scared of him at first. But he warmed up pretty quick. He liked to hit the dog.....I have no idea why. And Kayleeya loved him to of course....All the kids had a lot of fun chasing Reign around the yard. So then Sunday came and we had to leave. I always hate that part. But on the way home I saw the neatest sign that someone had on their fence. It said, " Wise men still seek him. " I thought that was really neat. I had never thought of it hat way before. Sorry we don't have pictures, but my dad has them all. But we all had a really good time. Now on to Christmas!!! And my 22nd birthday!!

Viva Las Vegas

So last weekend we were able to attend a family get away weekend in Las Veags. We had a blast. We got to stay in some really nice condos thanks to my wonder ful parents. We had the whole clan there so things were a little hectic with all the little kids running around. But we were able to take them to the M&M factory, the chocolate factory, and to see the lions at the MGM. We were lucky enough to be staning in the exact spot were one of the lions decided to urinate. The kids gota good laugh from that one. Jonah and I also got to go to the Cheesecake Factory with my brother and sister in law and their two little girls. We had a lot of fun with that. We never get to really talk to them much so it was nice to have a little time with just us. After that we met the rest of the family at the Rio to watch the parade in the sky. My mom was so excited about it. But we were all in fora surprise. It was not the same show that it was five years ago. We got front row seats to watch half naked men and women rub on each other. Finally we had enough and we took off. We all got a good laugh from it though....So all in all we had a really good weekend. The weather was great. We got to go swimming at our resort while we were down there. Ther is no way that we would go swimming here in Orem right now so it was really nice to get away and spend some time with the family. I miss them more than they know sometimes. These are some pictures from the trip. My dad was really camera happy cause we brought Jonah's camera and let my dad use it. He loves that camera so he was snapping away the entire trip.

My Husband

So if you can't tell, I want to say a few things about my husband. I love this man so much. I could not ask for anyone better. He treats me like I am the most precious thing in the world. He is such a big help to me around the house. He is understanding of me and my feelings. I always get these cute text messages during the day from him that always put a smile on my face no matter what my mood is. He is trying so hard to provide for our little family and he is doing a great job. I could not ask for more from him. I am so lucky to have him. He takes such good care of me and always puts me before himself. I can not believe that we have been married for three months already. Thanks to his understanding and willingness to compromise, we have had a pretty smooth transition from dating to marriage. I love how he is so forgiving and caring. He is always wanting to find new ways to help people. I feel so privileged to call him mine for eternity. There is no one else I would want to share this with. I can't wait to see where life takes us. But as long as I am with him I know that I everything will be ok and that I am where I am supposed to be. There is so much more that I want to say, but I can't put it into words. He is just to wonderful. I love you very much Jonah. Thank you for being such a wonderful husband.

Camping

So we were able to go camping this weekend. We had a rough start. The place that we had picked out only a week before hand was covered in snow when we went up there and the road was blocked. so we spent the next hour trying to find another spot. Once we did it was around nine. We set up our tents and built a fire. We had six people there. Me, Jonah, Jared, Olivia, Justin and Chelsey. The first night, Jared, Olivia, Jonah and I sat by the fire for a few hours before we went to bed. Justin and Chelsey went straight to bed. The next morning we woke to find out that Justin and Chelsey were leaving. They said that it was to cold for them the night before and they ended up sleeping in the car. Apparently they did not listen to us when we said that it was going to be very very cold at night. So that left just the four of us! I didn't complain at all. Sut anyways....the first half of the first night I was so cold. I ended up waking Jonah up cause I was shivering so bad. He made me switch sleeping bags with him. He also had Reign, (our dog) come sleep in the middle of us. That helped out a lot. I slept fine after that. we had four sleeping bags and a blanket on top of us. The next day we all spent the majority of the day gathering fire wood, playing card games and sitting around the fire. We had a blast just relaxing. It was so nice to get away for a while. We got to know Jared and Olivia a lot better and so that made it that much better. We all made smores before we wnt to bed that night. The second night i slept a lot warmer. Jared and Olivia gave us some hand warmers and so I stuck those in my sleeping bag. That kept me toasty warm all night long.. I can't wait til we can go on another trip with them. They are very good friends of ours. I am so grateful to have them as a part of our lives. They are so gracious and selfless. They are amazing people and if you dont know them....your missing out. Lol.

Jazz Game and Fun With Friends

Once again I dont have any pictures for you yet but once we can get them off the computer I will post them. Jonah and I were able to go to the Cornbelly Cornmaze at Thanksgiving Point with our friends Jared and Olivia. We had a blast! They not only have the cornmaze but they have alot of other really cool and fun activities for everyone to do. We went through this haunted monster. It was a huge balloon that was blown up and you walk through it. They had a sound system in there that made it seem like you could hear the monster breathing. It freaked me out so bad....Plus it was dark and I couldn't find my way back out so that made things even more scary. Jonah got a kick out of me screaming so much...He was laughing at me and telling me to go through again. YA RIGHT!
A couple days later, Jonah and I got to go to the Utah Jazz game in Salt Lake. That was so much fun. As some of you may know, Jonah is not very big into sports but he had a lot of fun to. We were on the 11th row from the court, behind the basket. they were great seats. There was so much entertainment at the game. I have only been to a BYU basketball game. I have never been to an NBA one. I have been to an NFL game and those are really fun too. But Jonah said that the games are a lot more interesting in person than they are on tv. IT kept his attention. Plus we got these fun noise makers to play with during the game. He had a lot of fun with them. I felt bad. I hit the girl in front of me in the head twice with them so I finally put them down for her sake.

Im Just Going To Do It

So I have been waiting to do another post so that I could put some pictures with it....But Jonah and I have been so busy lately we have not had the chance to get over to his parents to get the pictures off the computer. So I will post the pictures later that go with this post... So a few weeks ago we went down to St George for our family Halloween party and to see Thriller. We had a lot of fun. On Saturday night we were invited to dinner at Shawn and Ashley's house. We had a blast over there. Ashley is the funniest girl...She was making us laugh with her.....cleverness. :) Shawn was a hoot as always. We are very grateful to have them as our good friends.
I also got to spend a lot of time with my mom cooking. I called her a few days before we went down there. I was having a mental break down. I was very frustrated with cooking. Nothing I tried was turning out and so I was just wasting food. I called her crying. She said that she would show me some easy receipes that I could try. So that is what we did. We spent the weekend cooking and spending some quality mother daughter time together. It was a lot of fun.
We had a lot of fun at our family party. The kids we so cute in their costumes. We made some cute things to eat like spiders, frog eye salad, sloppy joes and a witches brew. It was a lot of fun. I always enjoy being able to participate in family events.
On Monday we went to Thriller! That was so good. I think that we are going to try and start a tradition to go see it every year as long as they do it.
I was not happy when we had to leave. That is always the hardest part for me is saying bye to my family. But I am glad that we were able to go down and spend time with them. Like I said I will do another post with pictures.

A whole lot of nothing and an aching heart...

So not much has been going on with us lately. I have been sick with something but we don't know what it is. But no worries I will get over it sooner or later. Jonah was sweet enough to buy me a wedding band to go with my engagement ring. He is so sweet. I get it tomorrow. The rings are getting welded together. I will put a picture up when I can. It is going to be so beautiful. We have been having a lot of fun with our friends Olivia and Jared. They are really cool people. They were over by our apartment the other day and decided to stop by with brownies and a movie! We had a lot of fun that night. They are going on the camping trip with us and I am so excited. I love listening to Olivia's stories. She is the cutest girl I have met....just don't make her mad or she will " punch yo face" Lol Sorry that is part of one of her stories. Very funny. So like the title says, a whole lot of nothing....ya sorry we are so boring. We don't really do much when I am not feeling good. But we are going down to St George tomorrow and I will have something to post when we get back. I am so happy to be going down there. I miss my family so much. I have been getting so home sick. And I have been having nightmares about my dad so I just really want to get down there and be with my family.... You never know what you have until its gone. I know that my family is not gone, but they are not at the tip pf my fingers anymore. They are four hours away and that makes things really hard for me. I feel like I miss out on so much and I wish so badly that I could be there. But I want them to know that I love them and that I always miss them. My brother and his wife. My sisters. My nieces and nephews. My grand parents and my mom and dad.... I wish that I could be in two places at once. But you got to do what you got to do. I am so glad to have my husband with me though. I have some part of my family with me and that helps ease the home sickness a little. So I hope that this trip will help me get through the next while until I can see my family again.

Our Big Break

So we have good news! Jonah got the job with Comcast!! We are so excited! They were rated the #1 employer in the nation last year.We are so excited that he got the job. He had to go through a four hour interview process, and he wowed them enough to get the job. He will be and installer for them. The benefits are unbelievable. He will get his own company truck, full medical, dental, and vision, 401K, tuition reimbursement, 28 paid vacation days a year, paid sick leave, paid holidays, discounts on Macintosh and Dell products, free cable and internet, and a TVO for only five bucks a month! There are so many more! I can't remember them all but I was shocked when I heard all of them. He starts November 3rd and has to do 3 months of training. After that he will get a dollar raise and get going on his own. There is so much room for advancement with this company to. So he is going to be sticking with this job for a while. It is to good not to keep. And if he wants to he will be able to move up and into different positions that pay more. But what he will be getting paid now is more than enough for the two of us. So we are hoping to save as much money as we can so that we will be able to buy a home or a condo in the next few years. Also with the tuition reimbursement, Jonah will be starting school in the fall. I am planning aon starting with him so that we can do it together. So we are excited that this wonderful opportunity presented itself to us. We are so blessed and we are so grateful that the Lord is watching over us. He has truly been listening to our prayers and finally answered them. We have learned so much from this alone. Paying your tithing, attending the temple and church and praying to your Father in Heaven can only bring you more joy and more blessings. We are so happy with the way things are going for us right now.
